Hi everyone, I wanted to post on here and go over what some of our plans are and why we have been silent since July. First off, the school supplies were successfully donated to Welch Elementary School in Peabody. Everyone was super happy and thankful to have the additional supplies for their students. For our silence, our team is made up of people who have regular 9-5 jobs so we all do this whenever we get the chance. Don't let our 9-5 jobs seem like we aren't dedicated to our mission. We worked very hard to open this nonprofit and get everything registered for a reason. We all here at Somers Philanthropy are people who want to do what they can to help their communities and make some type of impact. I (Michael S. CEO) will be going back to school this March to pursue my education and goals, despite this, we still are drawing out plans for what we want to do this year. We soon will do a handout for meals or winter supplies. I recommend that you continue to follow us to see updates here. If you haven't already, a donation above would be much appreciated as it helps us with our mission. We also are always open for suggestions, if you want to see us do something, send us an email with your idea and we'll try to make it happen. If you want to join our team as a volunteer, feel free to reach out.
